Adrian served for twelve years in the Royal Engineers, representing the army at cycling, shooting, triathlon and formation skydiving. He trained in bomb disposal and saw active service in the first Gulf War and then in Bosnia — environments where composure under pressure was not a soft skill, it was a survival requirement.
It was here that Adrian developed the core of what would eventually become the Bombproof Lifestyle: the understanding that fear doesn't disappear when the stakes are high. It intensifies. The difference between people who function under that fear and people who are paralysed by it is not courage — it is a system.
THE ILLNESS AND THE REBUILD
About Adrian
Bomb disposal engineer. Skydiving champion. Psychology graduate. Life coach. And someone who knows, from experience, exactly what it takes to rebuild a life from scratch.
Adrian Green is not a typical motivational speaker, author or life coach. He has spent time in minefields. He has defused live explosive devices in active war zones. He has fallen from aeroplanes at 120 miles per hour — voluntarily, competitively, and for a rather long time. He has helped coordinate stunts for a James Bond film. He ran thirty miles barefoot once for a bet. He says he wouldn't do it again.
He has also, at his lowest point, weighed just over eight stone and barely been able to walk.
Which is precisely why he is qualified to talk about building a life that fear cannot touch.
THE MILITARY YEARS
12 years. Two war zones. One defining decision.
Hero to zero - and back again
In December 1997, Adrian was medically discharged from the army. He had gone from a fit, competitive, decorated soldier to a man who weighed just over eight stone and could barely walk. The diagnosis had taken years to arrive. The recovery would take longer.
What followed was a masterclass in rebuilding from zero. Adrian worked as a barman, a dance instructor and a lifeguard. He helped start a charity for military veterans in Lincoln. He enrolled in a Psychology degree — and graduated with Honours. He got his pilot's licence. He became a qualified financial advisor. He rebuilt his health and fitness from the ground up.
None of that happened because he was exceptional. It happened because he refused to accept that the story was over.
THE SKYDIVING YEARS
National Champion. World Air Games
While still serving, Adrian had discovered skydiving — and discovered that he was rather good at it. In just four years he became a National Champion Skydiver, representing the Royal Engineers at formation skydiving and running the Royal Engineers Parachute Team.
In 1997 he was selected to represent Great Britain at the first ever World Air Games in Turkey — the first time skydiving had been included as a competitive discipline at a global multi-sport event. He has spent over 48 hours of his life in freefall. He has coached five world champions and helped hundreds of people complete their first solo skydive.
He also had a small part to play in the skydiving stunts for the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. He is, understandably, rather proud of that one.
TODAY
The Bombproof Lifestyle
Today Adrian works with individuals and organisations who are tired of playing small. His Bombproof Lifestyle framework — built on real neuroscience, hard-won experience, and a refusal to accept mediocrity — has helped hundreds of people break through fear, build genuine confidence, and design lives they are actually excited to live.
His book, Grow. Achieve. Succeed., is coming soon. He is available for keynote speaking, workshops, and corporate training. And yes — the James Bond thing really happened.
